Our Story
JSTech Consulting is a Virginia-based geospatial and data solutions firm and an SBA HUBZone-certified small business. We help federal agencies and private-sector organizations put their spatial and operational data to work.
Our team brings decades of combined experience in GIS and geospatial solutions, data analytics and visualization, and system modernization. Since 2013, the team has partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, delivering mission-critical support to both senior leadership at headquarters and staff in field offices. That relationship reflects how we work: long-term, embedded, and accountable.
We start by learning how our clients operate: their processes, their priorities, and what success looks like to them. Then we deliver solutions that build on what already works and fit naturally into their operations.
Have a mapping, data, or modernization challenge? We’d like to hear from you.
Our Team

Jonathan founded JSTech Consulting in the Spring of 2018 with a desire to assist clients in as many ways and to the greatest extent possible. Establishing JSTech proved the most viable option to do that. While Jonathan's formal background is in Geographic Information Science, his career led him into data analytics, system modernization, and AI integration. When he’s not losing his voice at a Buffalo Bills or Sabres game, discovering new music, or exploring new destinations, you’ll find him serving as a lap pillow for his 80-pound muscular rescue dog.

A graduate of the University of New Hampshire with degrees in Computer Science and International Affairs, Jaren specializes in geospatial science and environmental conservation, with project experience spanning the U.S., Colombia, and Cambodia. His work includes machine learning, remote sensing, and GIS. He also enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and spending time outdoors.

David joined JSTech Consulting with a passion for helping clients see their data in new ways. He holds a Master’s degree in Geospatial Intelligence from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Management, a combination that lets him bridge technical solutions with real business needs. David’s work centers on designing geospatial systems, web mapping applications, and data workflows that turn complex information into clear, usable insight. Outside of the office, David is a pilot and avid hiker, and he enjoys tinkering with home automation projects.

Brooke joined JSTech in September of 2026 to do work that makes a tangible impact. Her academic background is in GIS, historic preservation, and archaeology, and her career has been in cartography and community management. She strives to put her time into meaningful causes that produce real results, so she looks forward to easing the burden on clients when they entrust their projects to JSTech. In her free time, Brooke dabbles in leatherwork, sewing, and costuming, and hosts game nights with friends when she's not outside with her dog.
